  1. No I wasn't deficient luckily
  2. Yes that's fine
  3. I'm applying myself
  4. I'm an Acute nurse. Hopefully moving by next year
  5. I'm still in the Uk and I've now got 1 year experience. The minimum for most places will be 1 year
  6. I applied to Texas
  7. Omggg All the veryyy Best! What materials did you use? As a UK RN, I don't know where to start my reading from LOL. Also, what BON are you applying with? I can't remember what to do after the CES report
  8. Hi Everyone, I would just like to encourage every UK RN trying to do the move to being a US RN that it can be DONE. I have just received my CES Report exactly two month after I paid for the report to be done. Although, I paid for the expeditED review. The major boost I had was my A & E placement I think. I was able to use those hours for the areas we usually are deficient in.
  9. Hi Everyone, I would just like to encourage every UK RN trying to do the move to being a US RN that it can be DONE. I have just received my CES Report exactly two month after I paid for the report to be done. Although, I paid for the expeditED review and received my CES report two business days after all my reports were 'under review' The major boost I had was my A & E placement I think. I was able to use those hours for the areas we usually are deficient in.

  12. The beauty of being a student is you can ask to be moved to a different area for the experience. I would just ask. While I did my A&E placement, we would mostly triage them and sometime stay with us before they're moved to a Peads ward. All those hours count. I'm still in the UK just waiting for my decision from Cgfns.
  13. So mostly in year 2 for my uni, we did a module on ACE which is relating to children. Then I did an essay surrounding ACE and the transition into adulthood. This accounted for my theory hours. I don't know about your uni, but most uni you've independent study hours. You just have to finesse it to make it work for you. what I also did was request for my modules syllabus because although it's adult nursing, you cover a few bits of the other areas as well.
  14. You'll have to be strategic and get all the evidence you can. So Yes. On A&E, you would see a range from maternity- Geriatric patients. Same with the GP. The most important things would be doing reflections for those days when you look after the speciality of pt you need and getting them signed off. So you've evidence of you were asked to provide hours for those areas
