Good morning everyone. I have a question regarding NLN exam. May be some of you know what book should I use or web-site link in order to prepare myself for National League of Nurses Examination. I suggest that you know that everyone must take this exam before being accepted into the nursing program.
Tanks in advance,
Nastya.

Hi I actually brought a book that is sent out from them it says NLN PRe-entrance exam on it. you can probably get it at any B&N or Borders or local book store. I find that if you can get a study guide that is made by the company giving the test sometimes you run into the same questions and i find the book very useful because it was alot of stuff in there that i did not know so i was able to brush up When are you taking the exam I need to take the exam before Januay 2006, do you know anyone giving the exam near NJ, PA, NY

We have to take our NLN exam the last week of class every semester. I thought this was a general requirement for all nursing students. Is it different from state to state? I also did not know there were books to study for it. We were told taking it helped our school keep its credentials and lets everyone know where they stand. We were also told it was a standard test, that the same test was given to all first semester students regardless of what kind of program they were in etc. and that there would be questions we would not be able to answer as every school teaches different information in each semester depending on the type of program you are in (ADN vs BSN).

I've never heard of NLN. We have to take HESI to get into the nursing program. I am beginning to think all the pre-enterance exams are pretty similar though in their content. I think HESI is the least well known and I am having a hard time finding info on it.
Here is a site that has some practice tests for nursing pre-enterance exams. I have been working my way through it, as well as a book by Barrons.

Thank you very much for the information provided. Actually, I don't who gives the exam in those locations. I am student at Hunter CUNY College, NY. I suggest that every college provides its studens with information.
Thank you guys for the information provided. I hope that your sources will be very helpful to me.
Thank's
Nastya. :)
Hi I feel sorry for you. Because that test is crazy. I have the book and i don't know half the stuff in it and i have already finished my pre-reqs. Well all schools are diff. they have their own admissions requirments. Some schools just make you apply or some make you complete you pre-reqs then apply or they make you take the NLN or NET once or both. I live in NJ and I and ready to start nursing classes in the spring but i missed the NLN entrance exam in aug.(fam emerg.) so i need to take the test before january so i can still start classes. I live in NJ and I am willing to travel its important to me or else i wait another year where is your school located. because you can take the test anywhere and your school can get the results i am sooooooo desperate!!!
Hello! If I rightly understood, you need the location of my school. It is called the CUNY Hunter College. Its location is on the E 68th street and Lexington Ave. It is right on the corner. However, you can go to the Testing Office at Hunter College (North building basement) in order to get all information you needed. I hope that it will be helpful for you. Also, here is an official web-site: http://www.hunter.cuny.edu.
Good luck,

I am studying for the nln exam. I am having the same problem! Some of the info in the book is so hard. I thought I was doing good until I checked the answers. I figure I will do better if I keep studying!! I HOPE!!
