Hey everyone,

I'm feeling really bummed out about trying to become a nurse! :crying2: I was going to go to Chaffey, but I absolutely have to work full time and the only ft jobs that I can find that can actually support my rent/bill payments are during the day. Does anyone know of any night-time LVN programs around? Specifically in either Orange or Riverside counties, but any info is helpful. Thanks everyone for your help, I can't stop crying!

I am currently attending Concorde in San Bernardino...Tues-Weds-Thurs nights from 6-10, and all day Saturday. The next night/weekend program starts in May 2007...but it fills up fast!

I know you're trying to narrow your search to Orange and Riverside Counties, but there's a night and weekend LVN program in Los Angeles County.

Casa Loma College (818)785-2726. It's expensive, but the NCLEX pass rate is somewhere around 84 percent. Good luck with whatever school you decide to attend.

I attended Casa Loma and think highly of their program. They have more than one location & offer a night/weekend program. Best wishes.

I also attended Casa Loma's LVN program last year (Van Nuys); however, I think poorly of their program.

I don't see a Casa Loma program close to me, but there is Concord in Garden Grove and I set up a meeting next week to get more info. Of course they couldn't tell me the price of the program over the phone, but I guess most private tech schools don't. I really had my hopes of going to the community college, but I got so frustrated! What's nice about the private schools is they do the work for you, but I guess that's what you pay for. I just want to get into nursing REALLY bad and keep finding myself not being able to go to school during the day. I know California is a big state and we come from very different areas, but has anyone heard of a good program in OC or Riverside area? I know I have a lot of options for private schools, but I just wanted to see if anyone went to a program and thought they got a great education out of it or if it was full of people who didn't take it too seriously. Also, has anyone graduated from a private school and then went on to a University? Thank all of you so much for your advice, it's really helpful to me.

Did you think you got a good education out of the program? Did you go during the evenings? How about anyone else, did you go to either campus and like it? Thanks everyone. :wink2:
