Nicotine-Urine

I know I was looking prior to applying for a position at a company who does not hire nicotine users.

I recently purchased some urine nicotine tests and wanted to let you know my results.

I smoked 1 cigarette on Friday (August 7th) and was exposed to a lot of second hand smoke (at a bar), my urine was positive yesterday (August 10), after abstaining after the one cigarette.

I will let you know when I test again on Thursday. I have been drinking a lot of water.

We tell people to abstain for two weeks. Also, home drug UA kits are often not as sensitive as the ones used by professionals/hospitals. I don't know if it is the same for home nicotine versus hospital nicotine testing.

You can smoke in bars in VA?

You can smoke in bars in VA?

It could be grandfathered in - I have a cigar bar not too far from where I live. It is in a historic downtown building and it is considered a community landmark, so even though it's illegal to smoke in bars where I am, smoking is allowed in that one. There are always loopholes.

Yes, as long as it is ventilated correctly and separated from the rest of the bar. It was an area outside. Anyway, hoping it clears up soon, before my testing.
