Anyone interviewing at Newman this year? I interview on Jan. 25th. Anyone who interviewed in the past, any input on their interview process would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Still no news here. I am sure I know what the answer is considering I have not recieved a phone call. Anyway just keep at it.

Has anyone recieved any good news from Newman? I wish everyone luck with future interviews.

I felt like I had a good interview.. I guess that the gre and the first 2 years grades plus no grad classes hurt me. I may be down but definatly not out!

I got in!!!!!!!!!!!!Yea!!!!!!!!!!!I am very excited. got the letter today. They did not call anyone this year-I guess. So, good luck to everyone, and if you don't have a letter yet it does not mean you did not get in!!:roll :D

Jebain,

Congratulations! Best of luck to you!

:p Congratulations!!:roll

WOW! congrats to you!!! I am very excited for you and know that you will do great!

Jebain,

congratulations...! I am glad to finally here good news from Newman. The excitement must be overwhelming!!!!

Wow, I live in Wichita and didn't realize that Newman really had a reputation outside of Kansas. I'm assuming your talking about applying for their CRNA program. How competitive is Newman's CRNA program anyway?

All of the programs are competetive, so I am not sure how to answer "how competetive" Someone who recently interviewed could probably tell you how many applications to slots they had.

It is a good program though still young, the fourth class will be graduating this August. They have a 100% FIRST TIME pass rate on the boards. The clinical rotations are excellent with lots of experience in regional/general anesthesia and a little pain management. Lots of central lines etc. The philosophy is that you are a student and not slave labor, so the cases you do are what YOU need not what the OR needs. This translates into a much nicer educational environment.

Congrats!!!

I got my rejection today. I am so glad to hear of your great news. I am not suprised with your background! Are you still going to interview at the others. Kepp us posted!!!

:roll

(space bar was stuck)

Jebain-

Congrats on being accepted at Newman. I also was accepted at Newman!!! Did you apply anywhere else? I applied to 3 other school (Gonzaga, Mt. Marty College, UND) and got interviews at all three. Newman was my 1st interview (uhg, glad that one is over with!! It was painful!) Mt. Marty's is this weekend but I decided to skip it since it was my last choice. UND is next weekend and Gonzaga is March 2nd.

Again Congrats!!!!!
