Anyone interviewing at Newman this year? I interview on Jan. 25th. Anyone who interviewed in the past, any input on their interview process would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I interviewed at Newman in 2001 and was not accepted. However, I finally got accepted to both Bradley and Rush University last year and chose Rush. The Newman interview process was done with all of the falculty. Each person asked questions ranging to your support system to specific clinical questions such as about medications, vents, etc. I liked the area a lot. The school is really nice and it seemed like a really good program. The cost of living is also really inexpensive, a two bedroom apartment was about $450 per month.

Might see you there.... Post #1
Fence, I interview on the 25th as well. Maybe we'll meet!
I am from there, just moved in April. Nice area to live.
I have not interviewed at Newman, but that is where Kevin Graduated from. Have gotten different perceptions of the interview. Seems it just varies with different aplicants.
I wish you luck!
Where else have you applied. I only applied to NU and TWU.

I am a current Newman student and am soooooo pleased with the school. I was asked questions about the area in which I worked so I would know that stuff in and out. The interview was painful but the board needs to see how you function under stress and how quickly you can think (or recover:))Good luck with your interview!
Thanks for the info. I always here great things about Newman.
What time do you interview Fence?
Have you heard from TWU yet?
Good luck, Let me know how it goes!
My interview at Newman is @ 1400. I recieved an e-mail from TWU yesterday stating they had not recieved a letter from my supervisor. I contacted my supervisor and she stated that she had given it to her huspand to mail and she found it under some papers at home and mailed it the day prior. So much for being timely...lol. TWU would be a doable program for me but Newman would be ideal. Good luck with your interview.

Good luck on the interview! I would focus on what is in your nursing history for clues as to what they may expect you to know!
