Yes, Yes, When I was in the good old US of A got asked all the time what it was like living in New Zealand.
When I complained of the comparison got told I sounded the same and Australia was near enough.
My reply to that was 'so what part of Canada are you from?' because you sound the same and it is close enough'.
Was told point taken and handed a Budweiser.
GIDDAY Jayna,
I was interested on the views you have about similiarites of aussie and kiwi.
I am not going to perpetuate the aussie versus NZ debate:chair:
but one thing I feel very strongly about I just cannot see, stubbie shorts complete with blue singlet, a patch on a man with overalls, and check shirt!!!!!!
Thanks for the congrats. seeya C
hi there from a real kiwi
an proud of it!
I'm a southlander too so i use the word wee a lot (meaning small)
and i roll my RRRRRRRs. the only place in NZ to have it's own accent!
NZ is a beautiful country and unlike other kiwis who have travelled overseas i have seen a lot of my own country, so i can say this with confidence.
I have also been to oz and it would appear to me that ozzies live for the beach and have more stat days then NZ so who likes to work harder jayna????
any way it's always fun to have some friendly rivalry happening.

Hello I have recently noticed quite a few new New Zealand members but there is not a thread dedicated to them. So I am going to recify that situation. Please drop in and tell us about your favourite tipple while giving us a bit of information about New Zealand.
See there are still people out there who think that New Zealand is part of Australia (ducks for cover yelling not me! not me!
)
I have been doing my level best to raise the Aussie profile but I think it is time for the Kiwis to speak out about themselves!
