By all accounts it is currently difficult to find a hospital willing to petition in NY

If you did not train in NY or have years of experience behind you, you will find it very difficult to get a hospital to petition you in NY. Nursing homes, no problem.
NJ does have hospitals that will petition. You just need to decide where you truly wish to work and then go from there.

how sad... it will be hard for me to migrate there... how about nevada or new jersey? do u think i can easily find job petitioners there? i need to decide which state to apply for licensure and these questions are the major factors for it.
cutie-hotie, yes it is almost impossible to get petitioned by a NY city hospital right now. St. Vincent Midtown Hospital and Parkway Hospital are among several hospitals ordered closed by NY state this year so you can just imagine where those laid off nurses would go. If one is a greencard holder or US citizen, then there wont be any problem in looking for a hospital job even if one doesnt have any experience
i do not have any information regarding Nevada and NJ though so I cant comment on that.....
