New to site.

Am new to this site and was wondering if someone can tell me what is considered a meaningful post.

Hi, just wanted to welcome you to the site.

I would definitely read some of the stickies at the top of the student forum to familiarize yourself with the rules and all the different resources available. I'm still very new to the site as well but I have found a lot of useful information just by digging around.

As far as your question...I too sometimes wonder what constitutes a meaningful post here but I'm sure as long as you are genuine in what you post and follow the forum rules you will be fine. If all your posts were "congratulations" to every new person that passed the NCLEX then that would probably not be considered meaningful posts.

I've noticed that the longer I explore the site the more questions I begin to come up with. Some of them get asked or answered by others in previous threads. If not then I create a new post.

Something that offers something to the thread that is being discussed. Not dragging up old threads to wish them congatulations. Posting of congrats to someone repeatedly just going down the line is not acceptable as well.

I am sure that there is much that you can offer and that is what we want to see here.

sign0016.gif Just wanted to say welcome to allnurses. *SS* and Suzanne both described what a meaningful post is very well.
