I haven't had a ton of luck. I've had 3 interviews and 2 are a definite "no." I'm still waiting to hear from the other.
At least you are getting interviews ! I have applied to a ton of jobs but NO responses. Were these for med surg floors by chance? I wish you the best of luck finding a job! I never thought it would be this hard for us!
All of them were ICU. 2 of the three hospitals that I applied to and interviewed with did not have any med-surg openings. Depending on were you're located, I know St. V East has a couple of med-surg positions posted. I have an app in with them but have yet to hear anything. Best of luck to you too! We'll get in somewhere...
I applied to ....St. V, Brookwood, and Shelby. Princeton and Trinity doesnt have anything. UAB is on a hiring freeze. Were you a tech during school? The ones in my class are the ones that have gotten jobs.
Nope. I've never set foot in a hospital while "on the clock." The three hospitals that I had interviews at are not as saturated as the Bham hospitals with new grad apps( atleast I don't think they are) and that may be why I was able to land a few interviews. I precepted at one, so I had a few connections there. And my wife worked at another, so I know many of the folks working there.
I hope you get some good news on the last interview you are waiting on.
Me too. Just hang in there, things will pick up.

I have applied at 4 different locations for different jobs. I have only had one interview and should hear something tomorrow or Friday. It is not a hospital in the bham area though. I was surprised that it has been this hard with the "shortage". I guess it could be the economy...
I think we may have a better chance after we have passed NCLEX too. Good luck to you both. We'll get one eventually....
