Nervous to start May1

As the title implies.. I am feeling very nervous!

I was hoping current or past students could alleviate some of that by letting me know how the program worked for them. I have 45 CU to complete, hopefully within 12 mos. I don't feel I can contribute enough time to get it done in 6 months but I love reading about those who did! Any words of wisdom would be great! My husband is a great support but we are both anxious about what to expect with my being focused on school work. I work every weekend nights and stay home with my 3 kids during the week (one is in school). Thanks in advance!!

You will both do great!! Make sure to join the facebook page (lots of support there) and have fun. :) Ok, some of the classes are more fun than others, but you know what I mean. :)

I had 50 to do, which was rather distressing at first, but I made it through. My last 'school' was over 20 years ago! :)

I start may 1st as well. Ive been dragging my cold feet delaying my start date but this is it. I have 36 hrs to complete or so. I'm shooting to be done in 12 months. We will be nervous together!

If my transcripts from the other schools arrive to WGU in a timely manner, I will be joining you with a May 1st start date. I am excited!

I am also hoping for a May 1 start date. Waiting for my final transcript to get there and then final word on admission. I am so ready to get started.

I agree with signing up on the BSN board on FB. They are very strict on the Msn FB they have denied my request till may.No worries. We can still encourage each other on here.

You can do it! I am doing my BSN to MSN. I started Feb 1st and have already completed 2 classes. I work 40-45 hours a week m-f and have 2 kiddos-3 and 7. You'll find time. You'll get it done. It's totally doable! Good luck!

You can do it!!! I am on my last stretch of my MSN-Education. I never thought I could do it but I am!!! Just a few things to suggest:

1. Always contact your course mentor if you get stuck right away. That's what they're there for and they are usually very quick to respond.

2. Check out the course message board there are usually great tips in there for completing tasks.

3. Follow task instructions.

4. Buy PERRLA APA formatting system= easier life!!

Hope this help!! I'm sure I'm missing a bunch but that's a start!

Thanks for the encouragement and tips I've been told my several ppl to buy the perrla

I think I have used PERRLA APA in the past when I was going to school. It was great. I couldn't remember the name though so thanks for the reminder!!! Hoping for a May 1st start.

FeatherzRN how long did it take you to complete, did you have to take a lot of prereqs?

Thanks,

Mandy
