NeoFax

Ok...so I went to Barnes and Noble today to purchase a NeoFax. They told me that the newest edition is a 2005 and they only have access to one copy so they weren't sure if they could get it in or not. They gave me the publisher's phone number so I could contact them about a newer edition and when I tried to call I got a recorded message saying that the number was disconnected. Do any of you know what is going on with NeoFax? Also is there a different drug book that I should purchase if I can't get the 2005 NeoFax? Any help is much appreciated.

Feel like an idiot right now...I just Google'd NeoFax and found the 2006 edition but it will take a while to ship to me and I was wondering if you guys think the floor will have a copy that I will be able to use while I wait for my own copy or if I should just order the 2005 edition so that I will have it before I start working on the floor? Thanks

If you have a PDA, you can purchase the electronic version for download. That way, you don't have to worry about the book walking off the unit.

I just checked Amazon; the 2006 was just published last month, it costs $40 and ships in 4-6 wks (!). The 2005 is probably not THAT much different, and you can get a used copy shipped this week for $20.

jmo, I'd go w/the used 2005. Get the newer one later if you still want it.

Mead Johnson supplies us with copies of Neofax every year. We have them for use in the unit and every new nurse gets one. Maybe you can get some from your formula rep.

Your unit should definitely have plenty of copies on the floor, for you to use while you wait for your own copy.

I don't even have my own copy yet, I was waiting for the 2006 to be available. We have a Neofax attached to each computer and a few just laying around in each pod, so they're always available to us.
