when did this say this? How much student loans do you have? do you know if you've received a credit check yet?? This makes me so sad....and worried and blah!!!

shortsuzy-my loan dates did not change, no one has inquired about my credit or my loans as far as I know....nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero.... I am sad, I guess I just have to wait it out and see. Good luck to the rest of you.

Jessk, thank you! Really I think no one should be discouraged at this point since it's so early, although some of these comments are making me nervous. From what I saw of last year's blogs it seems like the extremely high ratios were receiving letters first and the ones closer to the 150% mark were later. Maybe it would be smarter to feel like I lost it this year already, but I still have hope! :D

I agree, I am definetly not counting on it. If it happens, it happens. I am just going to try and push it to the back of my mind and count my blessing for the things in life I currently have. For right now i guess that is all I can do.

Amybarbern- I have 124k in student loans with a minimum payment of $1100 a month... It's ridiculous. I guess we will all find out in a few short months. Keeping my fingers crossed.

sweetmeggy, thank you! That actually makes me feel slightly better since I owe about 147% (90 grand). SO I still have my hopes up that other loans are being handled prior to mine. I hope and pray. Do you happen to know if the dates on your submitted application changed under the loan part? Because I did see that last year the ones that had changed had received funding. Well, keep me posted and congratulations!!

No my dates haven't changed....:(

Hello All,

Anymore word? News? Info?

Lol my ratio is 158% and I have about 60k in debt. Guess that means my pay is crap compared to you guys! Hahaha

Hello,

I applied to the program this year for the first time. My income-debt ratio is only about 65%. I feel a bit stressed out hearing that people who got awarded in the past had 200% debt ratios. If I'm not mistaken you will need to own about $80,000 in eligible student loans and make only $40,000 a year to have the 200% ratio. Is that correct?

After reading the above posts I have also checked if my loan amounts changed but no change . I submitted my application right on the dot on Feb. 8 on-line and faxed in my supplementals that very same day. I have my loans through Citibank and Wells Fargo and heard nothing from the banks yet. Feeling kind of stressed and .

I too am getting discouraged. I have Sallie Mae as my main loan people and I've received no correspondence from them, nor Great Lakes (my other loan people). So I am feeliing a little blue. But I still have high hopes, unfortunately. I can say until I'm blue in the face that I go through life wishing for the best, and expecting the least, but that won't change the fact that I will brokenhearted yet again if I do not receive this funding. Sucks but that's just how I am!! Still, I keep on praying! Ya'll definitely keep posting any news please!
