Jan 23, 201115 yr Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful! Thanks!
Mar 11, 201115 yr when did this say this? How much student loans do you have? do you know if you've received a credit check yet?? This makes me so sad....and worried and blah!!!
Mar 12, 201115 yr shortsuzy-my loan dates did not change, no one has inquired about my credit or my loans as far as I know....nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero.... I am sad, I guess I just have to wait it out and see. Good luck to the rest of you.
Mar 13, 201115 yr Jessk, thank you! Really I think no one should be discouraged at this point since it's so early, although some of these comments are making me nervous. From what I saw of last year's blogs it seems like the extremely high ratios were receiving letters first and the ones closer to the 150% mark were later. Maybe it would be smarter to feel like I lost it this year already, but I still have hope!
Mar 13, 201115 yr I agree, I am definetly not counting on it. If it happens, it happens. I am just going to try and push it to the back of my mind and count my blessing for the things in life I currently have. For right now i guess that is all I can do.
Mar 15, 201115 yr Amybarbern- I have 124k in student loans with a minimum payment of $1100 a month... It's ridiculous. I guess we will all find out in a few short months. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Mar 15, 201115 yr sweetmeggy, thank you! That actually makes me feel slightly better since I owe about 147% (90 grand). SO I still have my hopes up that other loans are being handled prior to mine. I hope and pray. Do you happen to know if the dates on your submitted application changed under the loan part? Because I did see that last year the ones that had changed had received funding. Well, keep me posted and congratulations!!
Mar 19, 201115 yr Lol my ratio is 158% and I have about 60k in debt. Guess that means my pay is crap compared to you guys! Hahaha
Mar 22, 201115 yr Hello,I applied to the program this year for the first time. My income-debt ratio is only about 65%. I feel a bit stressed out hearing that people who got awarded in the past had 200% debt ratios. If I'm not mistaken you will need to own about $80,000 in eligible student loans and make only $40,000 a year to have the 200% ratio. Is that correct?
Mar 22, 201115 yr After reading the above posts I have also checked if my loan amounts changed but no change . I submitted my application right on the dot on Feb. 8 on-line and faxed in my supplementals that very same day. I have my loans through Citibank and Wells Fargo and heard nothing from the banks yet. Feeling kind of stressed and .
Mar 28, 201115 yr I too am getting discouraged. I have Sallie Mae as my main loan people and I've received no correspondence from them, nor Great Lakes (my other loan people). So I am feeliing a little blue. But I still have high hopes, unfortunately. I can say until I'm blue in the face that I go through life wishing for the best, and expecting the least, but that won't change the fact that I will brokenhearted yet again if I do not receive this funding. Sucks but that's just how I am!! Still, I keep on praying! Ya'll definitely keep posting any news please!
