need help

I want to take an NCLEX exam but i don't know what to do to apply for it. I'm confused because i don't have any experience. I graduated last 2005 in the Philippines and after my graduation I join the missionary and got married. And now my husband keep searching what to do to take the NCLEX here in Texas. My husband found some info in the texas nursing board and it says there that if you don't have any experience after your graduation you need to take a class. Class to refresh. I need your opinion. Is it true? Or if its true where can i get that class at? I am not an RN in Philippines is it ok to take NCLEX here in texas? PLEASE HELP ME.. THank you;)

There is no way to apply for the NCLEX exam as there is no application for it. You will be applying for licensure as an RN in one of the states that you select.

You cannnot take a refresher course in the US if you are not already licensed here. Texas requires the CES, which is a credential eval done by CGFNS.

They (Texas BON) will not look at your application for licensure until that is done.

Please read the Primer at the top of this forum for information that you need for working in the US.

In what capacity are you in the US? You are not applying for NCLEX RN but to be a RN in the US and all information can be found on the board of nursing website for the state you want to live. Ca BON or Colorado BON

Please read the Primer at the top of this forum in a sticky, it will give you all of the information that you need.

Please be aware that you are unable to apply directly for the NCLEX exam as there is no such thing as an application for that, you will be applying for licensure as an RN to the state BON that you are interested in.

Please also be aware that the US is under a retrogression at this time and if you do not have a visa that will permit you to work already, there are none available for you now at this time.
