Okay heres the deal, I took my NCLEX on the 13th of this month. I did the quick results thing on pearsonvue and it indicated that i passed. I am scheduled to start my new job on the 31st (monday) but the sbon has not issue my license for verification, meaning i cant start my new job. My other classmates that tested with me on the same day has theirs posted/verified or whatever. Im freaking out.....does anyone has any suggestions.
PS. i called my sbon, pearsonvue, etc and they all give me the run around

Depending on the State, the actual license may take a couple of days after your "pass" to be issued, or it can take weeks. It might be posted on BON website, too, in that same coupla days-to-weeks time frame.
If your classmates are getting theirs posted, ask them how long it took after their exam, and I'm guessing that's your answer :)
thanks for the reply
some of my classmates were actually in testing with me and their license is able to be verified. I dont understand

Well, I don't know how the order is determined for licensing....what I mean is, I imagine in my head a person sitting at a computer with a teetering stack of skinny file folders, each one an new applicant, each waiting to be assigned a license. ALL ready to go, but have to be entered one at a time.
I have no idea how many of these people there are at the BON, or whether results from a single testing center go to the SAME stack, or what. If it's alphabetical, by time received, or what.
Exactly how long ago did your friends get their license numbers? If it's a day or two, it might be absolutely nothing....if it's longer, and it were ME, I'd probably be on the phone to the BON asking how soon I could expect licensure from the date of the test.
See what they say?

Can you call the SBON? It seems that if your classmates that tested the same day all have verification....it would seem yours should be there too. I would check with them and see. Maybe they'll have it in time for you to start....I'll cross my fingers for you!!!

I start my job in 2 weeks and I still don't have my license in hand. Our sBON only updates on the first of the month and I'm hoping they can at least verify when I start working.
I'm so worried that there was a glitch in my paperwork that I just don't know about it (due to recent experiences by one of my classmates!) that will delay it.

Call your bon, they may have a problem completing your background check or paperwork. 2 nclex passees (?) in my residency have been waiting a few weeks for theirs to be sorted out.

Call your employer - in some states, employers are required to have your physical license or temp permit before you can work. This is a kinda cut & dry deal ... either your employer can get by with online verification of your valid license, or they can't.
As an example: in my state graduate nurses can start working under a temporary permit issued by the SBON after graduation. Employment start dates for my classmates & myself tended to be 4-8 weeks after graduation to allow sufficient time to get the temp permit in hand before starting our new jobs.
Good luck to you! :)

I don't know where you live, but the recruiter at my hospital just printed the Pearson Vue webpage saying I passed, then viewed my license a few days later. (it took maybe 3 days after I took the NCLEX to have results)

Is your 90day GN liscense still valid? That will allow you to work pending the NCLEX results.
