Hey there! I'm a new nurse here in the Philippines and I want to set my plans right. I'm thinking of taking the CRNE in Saskatchewan in the near future. I still need to get more experience in the hospital though before I start processing my application with SRNA. I already passed IELTS last July 2008.
This is my plan: gather one year of hospital experience, register with SRNA, find an employer, register for CRNE, apply for work permit, fly to Canada and work as a GN, write and pass the CRNE, and then work as RN. Whew! Did I miss something? Is my plan in proper sequence? Do I have better options?
I'm also wondering, can I get an employer through the internet? I searched saskjobs.ca and jobbank.gc.ca and found a lot of openings. I plan to email potential employers and discuss the possibility of working for them. But I guess I should get the approval of SRNA first before employers would consider me, right?

Yes your plan looks about right. I would definitely waiting until you have gotten the OK from the college before looking for a employer, proves you are interested as you will have done a lot of leg work
Thanks silverdragon102! Now I know I'm on the right track. I just hope everything will fall into place.
