You can try training4life.org. They serve the NYC area.

The American Red Cross and American Heart Association websites can direct you to chapters and classes nearest your home.

I recently recertified with health force solutions in flushing, queens. I had a great instructor and the facility and the mannequins were really clean.

I went there too in January to renew. The BLS is good for 2 yrs. Their website is http://www.cpr123.com

and it's cheaper than red cross

I recently did mine with first response advantage (Welcome To First Response Advantage CPR | BCLS | ACLS |) - its the first time I took the BLS, so I don't know whats normal or have anything to compare it to, however they had lots of classes in convenient locations in manhattan, at least for me, and the instructor was pretty good, we all had our own mannequins, etc.
