need advise about lpn program

hello every one.

I have a little problem maybe you should be able to help me out.

I am a C.N.A and I was looking into getting a L.P.N but don't know what will be the fastest track to get it. Currently I am a bachelor student in Finance ( I have almost 107 credits hours, done all my generals and some of my major). Well some of you may wonder why I am trying to swich field when I am so close to finish, the fact is I like both fields and know that while I'll be waiting to get a job in one field, the other field(nursing) will have plenty available. So I don't want to be late in achieving my life objectives.

I'll really appreciate if someone can guide on a good but fast L.P.N program:coollook:

Most LPN programs last about a year if pre-req's are met. If you are interested in nursing, I strongly suggest that you look into the RN program, The jobs just aren't as plentiful for LPN's. For finding a school, do an internet search for your state's board of nursing and you should find a listing of the approved schools. Then you can visit the sites of schools that interest you. as i posted on your other thread with this same question, i would not suggest nursing as a stepping stone career while you wait on another job offerring in finance.

don't underestimate the knowledge you will obtain in the program. Nursing programs are already fast tracked to their limits.

sounds like you are looking for something "quick and easy" to get you the rest of the way through finance school...Nursing is not the way to go.

if i am wrong, i apologize. But most people who truly want to be a nurse aren't in it for the short term. IMO.

I would decide which you really want....nursing? finance? In the long run LPN is not the easy way to go. Go for your RN from the git go. First decide which career you really want and learn to have some patience.

Ditto what the other posters said...not only is it not short but it's also hard and expensive as a short term fix while waiting for something else
