Need advice

Hi,

I need major advice. Please no negative comments.

A few months ago a co-worker and ex-friend agreed to go on a girls trip together that would cost about $2000 each. Plus $1000 each on flight and hotel. This co-worker does not know how to use computers well so she asked if I could buy it and she would pay me back she only gave me $2000 in cash. The other $1000 I put down for her.

unfortinately, after that, my baby boy was diagnosed with a chronic disease where I would have to give her chemotherapy. Crying on the phone I told her that I could not leave my baby boy alone and would take the baby to the trip. She said ok.

Everything was fine, then she decided not to go at the last minute 2 weeks before the trip she changed her mind. claiming that I never told her about my son coming! And claiming all these negative untrue things about me. So she asked to get a refund from ticket insurance. The insurance was denied. NOW she wants me to reimburse her for the $2000 that she paid. And writes me threatening letters that she will sue me.

She writes me on my work e-mail, calls me multiple times and leaves 3-4 minute messages on my voice mail, claims that I am a low life.

I am not responsible to refund money since the claim was not approved. But she is harrassing me so much that it is incredible. I don't know what to do. I am in fear of my life.

I have not seen her at work in about 3 months. Since we do work different floors. But she harasses me, in her derogatory voicemails she brings up private things I told her. She brings up my son that my son is ok and people laugh at me at work when she tells them health stories about my son.

I really don't know what to do. I live in Pensacola, FL.

i need really good advice. I am scared of her. She only thinks about me. In her voicemails she claims that I tricked her, that she only made the trip because she felt sorry for me, and she called me a low-life, ... Basically really nasty things.

I don't know what to do. I am scared she will stab me at work, take a gun to work and shoot me, hit me, etc. I watch too many ID channel shows and it is scary what people can do when you least expect it.

I need good sound advice.

I alrwady plan not to talk to her alone and to take a witness with me. If she yells to call security.

But I don't know what else to do.

    This has absolutely nothing to do with nursing.

    It has to do with an RN co-worker who is harrassing me about a personal issue at work. I am not sure what folder to put that in.

    Just because a nurse is involved does not mean this has to do with nursing. You honestly need legal advice and probably help from police. None of that which can be given here as it is against TOS.

    I do think it is a but if a stretch to assume this person is goi g to try to kill you over harassing emails/voicemails/etc. Unless she has outright said she is going to harm you or attempted to do so, this seems unlikely. Contact the authorities and take it from there.

    Using work email to threaten you will be her downfall. Work email is to be used only for professional communication. Report this to management and security. Wish I was a fly on the wall, when those emails are evaluated.

    As far as outside of work, I,PERSONALLY, would get a lawyer.

    Thanks. I wasn't sure if I should or shouldn't report her at work. She e-mails me at work around 1:30am very Sunday. I don't talk about her at work and so far I have kept my distance from her.

    I am am sorry everyone, I know it has nothing to do with nursing. Like I said in my other post I don't know what folder to put it in.

    I have a lawyer that's a friend and she said not to escalate the situation and write her and tell her that sorry it was her choice not to go on the trip and I am not responsible to reimburse her but she still keeps writing letters at work.

    I love my job and I don't want to lose it. So I wanted a point of view from another RN of what they would do in my situation.

    I understand TOS I cannot seek legal advice here. I just wanted advice or point of view from another RN. Thanks in advance.

    I was looking for advice on an issue going on with another nurse who I work with. Definitely not looking for legal advice. Just 3cents and opinions from other nurses.

    the messages she has left on my voice mail have escalated into threats and even "May God have mercy on your soul"

    I don't know what to think.

    The money was used to buy a ticket from ticket master.

    she chose not to go and pursue a claim.

    claim was denied.

    I am am not responsible to give her money back for her ticket she chose not to use.

    I wish she would just do what she said and sue me instead of harrassing me.
