Need some advice

Published

Hi, I am in my senior semester, means I had to re take medsurg3 as I missed my graduation by 0.3 points. I follow a pattern in my studying which never failed me throughout until now. I read my text and make notes, complete all my assignments on time, attempt questions related to those chapter, and so on, but still I could not succeed this time. I am so scared to follow my method now. There are so many resources that I have for the NCLEX type questions I am literally confused which one to use and how. I willbe back in school in Aug. I am re-reading my chapters and taking quizzes on adaptive quizzing by Elsivier, and Your Best grade Hesi. I am preparing for my HESI which is 25% of the grade along with the board exam. Please guide me through. Anything will help. Appreciate it.

Thank you.

Look for questions that are specific to the information covered in your senior course; even if you have to get a Med-Surg review book with NCLEX-Style questions, as well as LaCharity PDA book.

I also got a book that was a part of the "recommended reading" that was an excellent case study book for Acute Care nursing; it had NCLEX-style questions and it helped me immensely...I will try to find the book and give you the title of the book so you can decide if you want to use that book.

Also think about looking at your "recommended reading" sources as well; I found that those were well in depth enough that it helped on my tests as well.

Best wishes.

Thank you so much. I have the Medsurg review with NCLEX style questions, which I recently added to my study resource, apart from Saunders. That tells me where I am lacking. I guess it will automatically help me. All I need to do is time management in learning for HESI and board exam along with senior topics.

I greatly appreciate your suggestions and will try to focus on the same.

Thanks again.
