Hi all,
I need your advice!
I am a new grad who is interested in Oncology nursing. So, I sent out my resume to a few hospitals one of which is a "cancer" hospital and the one i am most interested in working for. Of course, 4 weeks later one of the other hospitals that I applied to granted me an interview. I went on the interview and was offered a position. I accepted and was given a start date of 2/11/08
Now here is my issue...
It turns out that, today, the hospital that I really want to work for, "cancer" hospital called me to schedule an interview. A friend of mine just started working there and personally referred me. I am scheduled for the interview next week. So, I am feeling that there is a good chance that I may be offered a position at the hospital of my choice. If that is the case I will need to resign from the hospital that hired me.
Can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks,

Congrats on your dream offer! Hope you get the job ! I'd wait it out to tell the your confirmed place of employment.

I too wouldn't tell your confirmed employer anything until you get a definite offer...then maybe something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but due to changes in my current situation, I will have to withdraw my acceptance of the current position."
