Need advice please.?!

I'm currently doing my Pre-reqs, taking Bio and did my final exam but I didn't do so well meaning i think i will have a D. in the class :( . I had taken this class before a year ago and failed it. Should I try again the next semester or give UP.??

If you plan to apply for a nursing program, you will obviously need to re-take it, and aim for higher score, preferably an A or B. However, before you do anything, you need to step back and re-examine why you failed Biology twice. If you have trouble understanding concepts, I would look into tutoring, and also adjust your study habits to whatever works for you. Highlighting, flash cards, recording lectures, whatever it takes. But before repeating the class, make sure you recognize why you failed the first two times. Remember, there are harder sciences to come, Biology is usually just the stepping stone. You will encounter microbiology and anatomy and physiology, so you need to work on gaining a good firm foundation from the start, and solidfying good study habits.

Also, check with your school to see if you can re-take it a third time. My school does not allow a pre-req to be repeated more than once. After the second try, you're out of luck.

It's more my studying habits and a FT job. I guess I need to put my priorities first and that is Nursing. .. Thanks for your input .

I agree with x_factor on looking at how many times you can take it. My school only allows you to take a class twice. Also some programs will only look at your first grade you got, even if it was a failing grade. Good luck
