NCLEX Tutorial

Published

The link does not actually state what this download is... could you be more specific??

Ok, I bit and tried the download....can't GET the download to actually work, and am now wondering if I stuck some kind of crappy spyware on my computer instead. I don't usually fall for it, but on THIS site, I felt comfortable :(

Anyway, if someone gets it to work, let us know! Meantime, I'm going to be running a spyware-zapper program tonight.

Wow! If this is the actual tutorial that is taken prior to the NCLEX, my sense is this is a major violation of copyright.

Hopefully someone that is in the know will verify that this is or is not supposed to be available to the general public.

I don't think so. I went to the Pearsonvue site (where I registered for exam, etc) and found this link on the homepage: http://www.vue.com/nclex/#tutorial

It clearly allows you to follow the tutorial, the actual tutorial that's given at the start of the nclex. It's only a demo, of course, but it's what you can expect to see...there's no State Secret giveaways :)

Posting the shareware link may be a problem, however. But I don't see why you'd need to go through all that if PearsonVue has a completely kosher link.

Anyway, I did as the Pearson Tutorial instructed, and it took a little under 7 minutes for me to complete. Personally, since I know this is counted AGAINST my time when taking the real nclex, I'm glad to know how the heck to do it already! :D

So no one has actually downloaded this supposedly "tutorial" to know what it is..... I noticed the poster is new... so I am a little suspicious.

If it was worthwhile I would think someone else would have posted its merits. So unless a member that has been here for awhile says something positive about the download, I wouldn't chance it.

No, what I just posted, the link I just posted from Pearsonvue, *IS* the nclex tutorial. The original poster apparently tried to post the same thing, but didn't do it well. There's no need to even use a shareware program.

The link I just gave has the exact same starter page as the original poster put up. I just didn't want anyone to aggravate themselves, so I provided the direct link :). THAT you can use easily, freely, and without suspicion :D! I DID use that tutorial, and it was good. And I've been here awhile ;)

That's exactly the tutorial when you take the real NCLEX exam.. I think that will help out if you're not quite comfortable with computers..... That is also the EXACT (SUPER DUPER word for word TUTORIAL that you will see in the real NCLEX).. feel free to practice it now so that you don't waste precious time just testing on it when you do the real exam.. I think that counts against your time if you take too much time in the tutorial section....

Okay, I understand now! THANKS!

If you haven't taken Nclex, save the site and review it like a day or two before so that when you get to the "Actual test" , you can choose to skip the tutorial and save yourself some 10minutes! It counts against your time.
