Hi everyone I am going August 10th at 11:00 to take my test I have studied some of the web sites that were suggested on the site and I have a CD with nothing but test questions I have done most of the 998 questions! Any ohter advice for this very nervous test taker?:uhoh3:

many congratulations to you!!!! :balloons::monkeydance::balloons::monkeydance::balloons:

It was interesting. Nothing like I had expected, but not terribly complicated either. I had several pharmacology questions and many with the "select all that apply" in relation to adverse effects of meds. That threw me for a loop!

Not feeling overly confident here, but it is over. I stopped at 85 questions and it took me about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Good luck to you on the 10th :)

I also took the test on the 8th...it was a retake for me. I get extremely anxious with computerized tests and the PC stopped at 75 for me the first time with all multiple choice except one 'check-all-that-apply'. I had lots of meds on both exams. This time I had like 6-7 'check-all-that-apply', 2 math calculations, one with 8 steps that I had to put in order. The PC stopped at 80. I'm wondering if the 'check-all-that-apply' are considered the harder questions and mean that you are doing well. Anyone have an answer to that? Anyway, good luck to all of us!!

I took the NCLEX yesterday. The computer shut off at 85 questions. I left with the feeling that I failed horribly and have been a mess ever since. I had a lot of drug questions that contained drugs I hadn't ever heard of, plus a lot of questions with the Select All That Apply option. They told me it would take 2 business days to find out your results- has anyone received theirs any sooner?

I also had 85 questions, with like 7 check all that apply. I had a ton of prioritizing patient questions, at least 3 cultural questions, and like 10 IV and drug calcs, and drugs and diseases I had never heard of. I felt also like I failed Kristin, but hang in there, I passed mine on 7-26. I was so sure I failed that I logged on the next morning to my state board's website and printed out my form for my retake.....There is hope

Thanks! I remember a bunch of prioritizing patient questions, a few delegation questions, no cultural questions at all, no IV or drug calcs at all, in fact I never had to use the calculator or whiteboard at all. I too went right to the state's website to look up the ramifications of failing just to prepare myself.

I had the SAME scenerio... priority and delegation. I had two drag and order, about 5-7 select all that apply, and about 8 or 9 drug questions, but no calc, I&O, culture, or IV stuff so that was cool. I'm not even sure what to think. It cut off at 85.. not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Good luck to you! I'm scared outta my mind right now. Let us know how you did.

I have taken two times and have many friends that took the NCLEX but all had to wait 2 days.

Keep your head up! I was about to pull my hair out as well (especially since this was my second time around). I got my results pretty early this morning and I passed this time. Good luck!!
