Hey everyone!
I just graduated about 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to get in the swing of things with studying for this NCLEX! When does everyone else plan to take the NCLEX and how do you all plan on studying for it, is there anyone taking KAPLAN?
Take Care

Welcome to "Limbo Land" with the rest of us recent Grads!! Congrats on graduation
I took the NCLEX success course that was recommended by the instructors at our school and I found it to be a total waste of both time and money so now I am studying and answering questions on my own. On another thread I was asking for anyone that might want to study online in the chat rooms for NCLEX if times would permit us to meet.
I take NCLEX on June 7th and so far am not too stressed about it (I am sure that will change by the end of next week) :rotfl: :rotfl:
Again, Congrats on graduation!!

Hey, I'm testing on the same day! I've already started to stress. Good luck to you. Let me know how it turns out. Hopefully June 7th is our lucky day! :)

We are going to PASS!! June 7th will be our lucky day. Some others of us are going to start studying online next week if you want to join. If you want to, start reading the Graduation....mixed emotion posts for times.
Hope to see you there!! :)

Thanks for the encouragement and invite. I'll check out the study session on Monday. By the way, what are you using to study?
Here's what I am studying with:
NCLEX Success RN (Zerwekh & Claborn book with CD)
Mosby Comprhensive Review (book with CD)
Springhouse 3000 Questions (CD)
What are you using? Have you been answering any questions? I have answered about 350 so far so have tons to get to b/f test.
I'm using the Saunders Comprehensive Review and the Q&A Review. I've also been using the Springhouse 3000 questions CD and the HESI Review CD.
I've been trying to do about 100 questions a day, but I've been doing questions since the first semester of nursing school. I feel pretty prepared, but I can't help but feel a little anxious.

Good luck to all of you! FWIW I used Kaplan and I'd recommend it to anyone. :)

congrats to everyone for making it through nursing school. now the next hurdle, nclex. i've been out of school for a year now and let me tell you if you buy one book- buy the kaplan study guide. it not only gives you pointers on how to test but the practice questions are the most like the real nclex exam. i primarily used that guide. i did not take a review course, and i passed nclex after 75 questions. of course like everybody else, i walked out of there not sure if i had passed or failed. the thing about this test is that they don't give you the best answer to choose. they will give you the 2nd or 3rd best answer for the scenario. from what i have heard the review courses really teach you basically how to take this test. i'm not trying to scare anybody i just want to let you know that you shouldn't try to memorize content. focus primarily on the process that you take to answer the questions. don't change your answers. also, work on ways to relax when you are in that situation. my friend failed her test the first time. the second time that she took the test she said that it was such a breeze compared to the first time because she wasn't nearly as stressed. test anxiety can ruin your ability to test smartly. good luck.
