I took my exam yesterday. Went to bed at 11:30 the night before wound up like a top, woke up at 2:00 and like a retard, didn't go back to bed!...That's right, I was so nervous and anxious that I was afraid to go back to sleep. So I left the house 2 1/2 hours earlier than I needed to and went to find the testing center. It's right in the middle of the "red light" district. What an eye show that was. I got there 45 minutes early and they did the fingerprint, picture, fingerprint thing then got me in there......I got 130 questions and when I left, I was in a fog. I went directly to the bathroom and heaved my not so healthy breakfast up, continued down to my car and cried for almost 20 minutes before I made my way blindly towards home....I really don't even want to talk to anyone until I find out my results tomorrow. I am pretty sure I failed, but that seems to be the common thought. I can't even remember the last 15 questions that I had. Bombarded with med questions and OB. The to subjects that we covered least in school. I didn't have too many off the wall questions about religion or even geri. Anyway Pray and I will post pass or fail tomorrow am.

Good luck to you. I just wish I knew why the test has to be the way it is. It just seems to be from a different place than what you got in school.
Shouldn't the test reflect what you got out of school? I did some big time studying and also attended 2 live review courses. Failed.
I sat there and thought, "none of this prepared me for NCLEX". I could have gone straight from my nursing final to NCLEX and it wouldn't have mattered.
I understand ther needs to be a qualifying standard but can't understand why whether you can work or not is determined by a test unlike the way you were taught in school.
