Has anyone heard of or bought the NCLEX Secrets Study Guide by that Peter Morrison guy off of the internet? The website is
http://www.nclex-test.com/ . I have taken the NCLEX once and did not pass and I am looking for material to help me pass it the next time. This program sounds like it works, but I want to hear real feedback. If you guys have bought this study guide, please give me feedback, good or bad. Thanks a bunch.

A friend and I split the cost and bought it so it was only $20 each. I haven't read through the whole thing yet but he does have some good tips on how to choose the right answer when you have no clue. The rest is a review and questions and I plan on doing those next week. I take NCLEX on the 17th of June and I am going to spend the next 2 wks studying.

I suggest that you use the Saunders book for review.............it has the best track record when I use it with my students. Does the best job with explanations for all of the answers, both correct as well as incorrect.

I heard on here it was a complete waste of money. Someone even said that the study guide even suggested picking "c" if you don't know.
Do a search engine here and you may find the thread. The girl had to fight to get her money back.

I purchased the NCLEX Secrets last year to prepare my NCLEX. I just read it once and thats its.... Its really a waste of money.. Though they have some good tips, But I couldnt know how to really apply those. When I asked them something regarding one of their practice questions. They answered me something that when i browse the internet.. Its totally the exact same thing they email. I found the exact answers online into different websites...
SO YES I TOtally Will not Recommend it.....

I would like to know about your study advice using the Saunders book. I'm a poor nursing student debating on paying $400 for the Kaplan review course. :o

I bought it the day before I took my test- I took my test and passed. No idea if it really helped or not- but I passed!
If you bought it one day before, then you never really used it.
I told myself I wasn't going to study the day before my test- but i folded at the last minute... so I bought it and went through it twice. It was all I did the day before. I don't agree that I didn't use it. It was a good little refresher to bring concepts together without feeling overwhelmed the day before
So should I study from Saunders or Kaplan??? Does anyone have the Saunders study plan?
Hello Mimi:), It doesn't matter which books u want to use for ur NCLEX Review. I am also going to take my 2nd exam early of next year. And As i read most post here. I realized that, We have to fix ourselves first. MEaning "have the right attitude"... BE pAtience reading, UNDErstanding the ratioNALE... AND HEY "YES" PRactice MAKES PERFECT. AS much as I want to enroll on Kaplan review course, I don't have that much money for that.. SO believe in urself, either u use CD's or books of KAplan, SAunders, or etc.... TRy to understand each questions... SO no matter how they ask the questions in our ACtual NCLEX exams, WE already know how to apply our knowledge.
Ill share u my review plan.
- Right now am reviewing with SAunders CD (2nd edition), My friend will let me burn her (3rd).. I am tryin to do 100 questions per day recommended by MS. Suzanne Coz I really want to stick it in my head.
- I will review CDs of Kaplan, they said its good source to practice for delegation or prioritization
- I also will review again learningext.com practice
- And MY last month before NCLEX exam, am going to purchase MOSBY;s CAT.. to know somehow my probability of passing the actual test. ALSO to BOOST some mORE COnfidence....
THE BOTTOM LINE, No BOOKS or CD's OR ONLINE that WILL ASSURE U WILL PAss NCLEX. ITS US That have to PRACTICE, PRACTICE until we Build that Critical thinking we need to read and answer questions.. AND ALSO to learn to MANAGe our TEXT anxiety
hope it helps..
Goodluck to all of us taking NCLEX.
