when you are studying from the kaplan disc and find that your scores are not what you might expect press on. i personally found the kaplan questions to be alot harder than the actual boards. these were my scores test 1 54 test 2 67 test 3 55 test 4 58 test 5 61 test 6 61 test 7 63% so i later took the tests over, but when you are looking at your score, look at the blooms tax i can't remember the name however, look at your application and analysis score. those 2 sections are what the nclex looks at to determine pass or fail if your score is above 50% then you are where they want you to be in critical thinking.

mimi72 study tips
Hi to all the worlds future RN'S!!!!!! This is what helped me pass 1) Before/after each study session pray for an open mind to the material you are studying. 2) I took Kaplan, while i'm not sure if the actual class helped the Q-bank as well as the disk with the 7 test helped for sure. While many of you may face time restraints, I'm just going to be honest I listened to the instructors that kaplan have set up on-line, it helped because trying to read that book alone was impossible. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Kaplan has a section on-line that has instructors lecture over the material in the book it's kind of like being in class, and they also give examples to the diff topics. 3) Daily I did at least 1oo questions, and when i reviewed the rationals i also reviewed the rationales to the questions i got right. 4)Know your basic lab values and what they are used for (hct, hgb, amonia, dig, ast, alt, k, creatinine, bun, wbc, rbc, albumin, pt, ptt, inr) 5) Know your basic drugs 6) the night before the test try and relax, think positive, and do very little to no studying at all. 7) The day of the test don't talk about the test. get an early start, have breakfast nothing too heavy, but just enough. 8) bring a sweater or jacket, because its cold in there 9) when you are in doubt call on the lords name!!!! this is not a joke i really did this and it proved to be effective. i literally said "lord jesus i am calling on your name to help open my mind these were the keys to my success. p.s. many people don't pass the boards because of lack of knowledge, its the nerves and self doubt, but if you relax and claim it in jesus name you will pass Warn: (0%)

about nclex rn exam
Does that posting that says go through each chapter and do 100 questions apply to someone who has not taken the boards. I would also like to know if that means read the chapter and do the questions or just do the questions.

Nclex Secrets
So should I study from Saunders or Kaplan??? Does anyone have the Saunders study plan?

Nclex Secrets
I would like to know about your study advice using the Saunders book. I'm a poor nursing student debating on paying $400 for the Kaplan review course. :o
