NCLEX-RN ILLINOIS

Published

Hey everyone! I am a newbie here at allnurses.com. For the moderators and creators of this site, thank you! :redbeathe

I recently took my NCLEX-RN Illinois dated April 1, 2009 and passed using the quick results in pearson vue. It was tough but praise God i passed. :yeah:I have some inquiries with regards to this. Hope someone with knowledge of this can help me.

a) The quick results in pearson vue is unofficial? Does this mean that there is a possibility that my letter coming from the board of nursing of illinois will have a failed remark? (im still in a denial stage that i passed...lol)

b) How long will it take me to receive the official letter coming from the board of nursing of illinois? if ever there will be problems how can i contact them?

c) Does the NCLEX-RN really lapses? Meaning if i don't get a job as an RN right away i need to retake this?

Thank you all in advance! :specs: Hope to hear from all of you soon! :specs:

:ancong!: I wouldn't worry about the results being incorrect. And no, once you have passed the NCLEX, that is it. No more retakes unless you let your license lapse for too long a period of time. So never let your license lapse!

The results are unofficial because it is the state that will issue the license. Can take a while to get it but employers should be able to verify online that you have a license and number. NCLEX only lapse if you don't work for several years and don't maintain license. (some states will ask that you resit NCLEX but not usually straight away)

Thank you for a quick reply to this post. Appreciated it! :urck:

Does anyone know how long will it take me before i receive the official letter coming from the board of nursing? Approximately how many weeks?

Thank you!

Check out the International forum under the region tab above. CES takes on average 4 months. NCLEX exam is a national exam and a requirements in all states to be passed if you plan on working as a nurse in the US

Hi, since this post is from a couple of years ago, I was wondering if anyone who tested more recently can post when they got their official results? By official I mean from the BoN (I'm not sure if they e-mail or mail results) without use of the quick results thing offered by Pearson Vue. Do they take 2-4 weeks (which is what NCSBN says is the average time)? Thanks
