Getting a math question wrong!!!
Had my test last April 1, 2009. Got 6 math questions. All of it deals with converting mcg to mg. I was really really angry with myself and the situation because I don't know the answer. I kept on saying to myself, "Of all the possible math questions why would the computer pick this one. If it was solving dopamine and dobutamine drip or even computing IV infusion would be easy." Imagine it was 6 questions involving that same specific topic. To cut the story short, i finished the 265 items in about 5 hours. But good thing, i passed! So i am just telling my story to inspire you, not to lose hope and continue believing in yourself. You have done a good job and its up to the one above if it was meant for you or not. You can do it. Hope you pass. Continue praying!

I think I passed with 75 on third try
Just believe in yourself. Continue praying! Anything is possible with your faith in yourself and with God. Wishing you all the best!

DOING TO MUCH ?
Hi! This is based from what I have done prior to my testing date. Hope it works for you. 1. Don't change anymore your testing date. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Changing the exam dates will only prolong your agony. 2. 7 days before your exam date try to relax. Go watch a movie. Pamper yourself by going to a salon or having a day at spa for a body massage. Read a book but not related to nursing or health matters. If you have time, you could even try to go out of town for a change in your environment. Bottom line is do what you love most. 3. Before going to bed, if you still got time, try answering 50 random questions with rationale. Sleep early and most important thing PRAY! 4. 1 day before the actual examination just relax. Don't hold any books or reading materials which will remind you of the test. Make sure to prepare all the things intended for the test so that you will not cram on the following morning. sleep early and again PRAY! 5. Actual testing date...just try to relax. deep breathing will really help (this would also help oxygenate the brain thus making your neurons work...lol). BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Hope you can make it! :wshgrt: :lvan:

NCLEX-RN ILLINOIS
Hey everyone! I am a newbie here at allnurses.com. For the moderators and creators of this site, thank you! :redbeathe I recently took my NCLEX-RN Illinois dated April 1, 2009 and passed using the quick results in pearson vue. It was tough but praise God i passed. :yeah:I have some inquiries with regards to this. Hope someone with knowledge of this can help me. a) The quick results in pearson vue is unofficial? Does this mean that there is a possibility that my letter coming from the board of nursing of illinois will have a failed remark? (im still in a denial stage that i passed...lol) b) How long will it take me to receive the official letter coming from the board of nursing of illinois? if ever there will be problems how can i contact them? c) Does the NCLEX-RN really lapses? Meaning if i don't get a job as an RN right away i need to retake this? Thank you all in advance! Hope to hear from all of you soon!
