NCLEX-RN ATT :(

I applied for NCLEX-RN exam January 2011 , i failed the boards 2x

now I am retaking it.. I re-registered at Pearsonvue april 1 and they haven't sent me my ATT yet..Do you guys know if there are any changes made by BON with regards to exam registration? for as far as I can remember last time i reregistered took only less than a week to send me my ATT, now its been 2weeks. :(

I had to apply to the BON and pay pearsonvue to retest.

I know people that had to retake and they had to reapply to the BON as well as register again at Pearson. You should call and verify so you know for sure.

@Asteria - your ATT has a valid date on how long its good for mine was 90 days after issued so .. check it and reapply asap if needed. When in doubt call and find out. good luck

ya dear first u have to apply for retake application to board than board will send u latter ya email after u get eligible for exam than u have to pay to pearsonvue ...after pearsonvue release your att than u can schedule your exam ...i hope u got it properly so as soon as if psbl than u just send application its take 45 days after received for approval.....best luck dear...

hi asteria, this is based on my experience.

after i took my first nclex-rn and failed, i applied to retake immediately and got denied.

why? unfortunately, they are reevaluating again after every exam. this is probably happening to you too. i know it may seem unfair because ive already been eligible on july 2011 then they're telling me im no longer eligible on sept 2011, how inconsistent right? but the explanation i had was, they started implementing stricter rules this time and when i was re evaluated, i was found ineligible. ive tried my best to contest but after 4 months, i gave up, because its no use. they said no. and it was a firm no.

hope this is not the case for you. contact them and ask them

I also failed my 1st exam and had to reregister again with my BON, that is applying for a retake. You can also apply for this after 45 days, though some other states require 90 days. You should apply for a retake from your BON first before registering/scheduling a new exam date in PV site. Hope this helps! And yes for the meantime, keep on studying for your next and hopefully, last try. God bless!:nurse:

oh my gawd! .. I registered at pearsonvue already thinking i shouldn't be reapplying. Oh! then I should call what is the status of my application.. :( im worrying now :(

hi asteria, by ineligible,do u mean youre nnot allowed to take the test now or do they require u to take some nursing courses then be able to test within 3 yrs upon approval?btw where did u finish nursing?thanks

thanks guys.. I called them, I reapplied and they are asking for my clinical cases.. I am going to submit it tomorrow so hopefully thats all they wanted from me.

I finished my BSN in the philippines..

I dont know why BON is doing that to retakers, doesnt sound reasonable because in the first place we already applied and all they have to do is check the previous application and just issue us an approval. I dont know why retakers has to go a long way again. well.. :(
