I passed my NCLEX Illinois BON last Feb 16, 2017, I got my passing letter but was not able to proceed to licensure and paid $50. The passing letter said that I will not apply for licensure within 1 year, my exam scores will be invalid and will need to take NCLEX again.
How true is this? Please help!

If you got your passing letter why were you not allowed to proceed with licensure?
Because there is a validity of exam scores which is within 1 year?
I understand now...

Why were you unable to proceed to licensure last year?
Got a miscommunication with my visa processing agency. I thought once I pass the NCLEX with a passing letter that is enough because I already have my priority date from NVC.
That's unfortunate. I don't know what to tell you because I'm unfamiliar with your situation. So that means you have to take the NCLEX and apply to your state board again? :/
Hopefully it doesn't cause too many visa issues. I wish you luck!

You should research that further. I never took NCLEX and passed my boards just fine.
