NCLEX and Kaplan

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

i'm taking the NCLEX next week and am extremely anxious. I took kaplan review course and have been scoring average of mid-high 60's on the q bank and low 70s with the question trainers. Has anyone ever done well on the trainers and qbank but not passed the NCLEX? Or is it true that the kaplan questions are harder then the actual NCLEX. Also if anyone has recently taken the exam or just in general any additional advice or tips on what to do within the next week please feel free to share. Any advice will help alleviate some of my stress.

My kaplan qbank scores was lower than yours but I didn't miss reading every single rationales. And yes it's a little harder than the actual NCLEX but its similar in some ways. Know your material that's the best advice I could give. Know your lab values, pharm, infection control and prioritization.

Good luck!

I took the NCLEX yesterday and really feel it was just like Kaplan. I even had an identical question to a Kaplan one. I did not do alot of questions though as I got depressed when I kept scoring in the 60's on them. I watched almost all of the video reviews and did maybe 1,000 questions in total. I had 75 questions and got the "Good pop up" I'll know for sure tomorrow if I passed though

I was scoring lower than you on Kaplan. I read all the rationales and scanned the content on Kaplan and Saunders. I passed with 75 questions.

I got mid 60s to low 70s on my Kaplan questions. I did 3,000 total questions before I took the NCLEX. And go over your rationales. I had notebooks full of notes from the rationales that I wrote down and went back over. Also, know your LAB VALUES.

Kaplan and NCLEX were quite comparable. They were both hard, lol. I passed with 80 questions.

I got 61% on my Q trainer 7. I feel quite prepare despite it being a little bit lower than i would wish for.

Hello everyone!!! thank you for this thread. I was having a hard time making my decision to take the Kaplan review (it's expensive) but personally with all your good feedbacks, it' going to be worth i... So wish me luck...

:):):)

I did Kaplan and had similar scores to the OP. Kaplan questions were harder, but very similar, to NCLEX. I passed in 75 questions.
