Hello all. I graduated nursing school in 2018, and I just found out that I failed my NLCEX for a 3rd time. I’m feeling quite hopeless, as my offer at a hospital will be rescinded, but I want to try again. Just how do I conquer the NCLEX? I’ve used Uworld each time and when I take the assessments I do well and my estimated pass rate is always in the high percentile, yet I get to the actual exam and still fail. I’m thinking I need to hone my test taking skills. Any suggestions overall?

I used a combination of Uworld, Kaplan's book (not the course) and Saunders. Supplemented with videos on Youtube (I learn better with video). I made sure to do 200 questions every day, plus read and make sure I understood everything. Listening to Mark K NCLEX videos on Youtube is very helpful. I think the questions on NCLEX are more similar to Saunders out of everything. Just my 2 cents, I hope something helps. Don't ever give up, you can do this.

anyone heard of happyNCLEX ? maybe we need to take a different approach to answering questions... stopped at 75q...still waiting for quick result. PVT trick - was a bad pop up ?

I believe that the SATA questions are kicking most of us in the rear because there is no partial credit for them. They are either right or wrong. If you add one question more or less than you should, that makes the whole question wrong. I had to answer about 35 of them out of 190 and I was very stressed out.
thanks for sharing @dalgo11. I am learning a lot from all of you guys. I only got about 4-5 Sata in the exam. Best of luck to us... I will know tonight if I passed ... will share.

If you haven't already look into Kaplan's NCLEX strategies! They help a lot with prioritization questions for sure
how about Saunders comprehensive NCLEX review? thanks

To be honest I didn’t use it to study for NCLEX, but it was very helpful for studying for tests in school. Best of luck with continued studying, you guys got this!

Did you pass?
hi Irene, I am one of the 50-60% test takers educated outside of US who did not pass. Australian BNS degree doesn’t include maternity, very little on paediatrics( I know this before taking the exam) My biggest mistake was taking it without being ready yet. Don’t let this discourage you... ?
