How can something you want be so hard? I went through Nursing school with good grades, have did qustions for lord knows off and on for at least a year now. Just found out that four letter word once more....(fail) I hope and pray no one ever has to go through that. That is the only thing in my life I have yet to accomplish.I have to do something different, but at this moment I really don't know what that is. I went through the Kaplan, doing Saunders, reading every book imaginable. The test I take in books and CD's I do well on and it's just very flustrating to say the least.I even went through a refresher course(state approved) before I could go on, which I may add cost$$$$$ all before you pay another 300. to take it again. I'm sorry and I don't mean to whine BUT just need to vent to someone who knows how this test is. But there is something I must be missing and before I attempt again will figure it out. Any suggestions??????????
Thanks for listening...

OH MAN!
that really stinks.
I failed out of a BSN program, and I studied 24/7 for one of the classes that I ended up failing.
I did learn my weakness. Which is that I did not fully understand the material discussed in class. I would study hours and hours but nothing stuck in my brain.
If I were you,
I would get a tutor, and perhaps they would be able to teach you a way that you can understand your material.

Sorry to hear you failed, please don't give up. Take a short break from studying and as suggested give Suzanne's plan a go.
Hang in there and good luck

Think of all the things you've learned in your life. And just imagine how very much more there is that you can now learn based upon what you already know.
Consider how your own unique perspective has grown, matured and become more valuable over the years. Imagine all the possibilities that are even now opening up to you because of how far you've already come.
It's impossible to know exactly what will happen tomorrow, or next month, or five years from now. Yet you most certainly are better prepared than ever to successfully handle whatever surprises life sends your way.
Now, more effectively than ever before, you can transform problems into opportunities. Now, with more purpose and more experience than ever before, you can work to bring richness and value to life.
When you face a challenge that seems impossible to overcome, remember this. The world is filled with things that once were considered impossible and which are now commonplace.
When you woke up this morning, you broke through to a new level of performance, of knowledge, of effectiveness. Now, more than ever, you have what it takes to move successfully and meaningfully through each moment.

I'm sure you are sick of others telling you to prepare more, that maybe you didn't prepare enough. You know your stuff!!!!!!!!!! you don't need to prepare anymore. I don't know what your personal life is like; any stressers with family, work? Then there is the pressure of I NEED TO PASS!!!!!! And you get people who say, it's okay you'll pass the next time so maybe that puts pressure on you. Whatever it is put as much of it as you can aside and concentrate on yourself! And maybe it is a test anxiety issue. I have it, I over-analyze everything and look too much into the question. I didn't pass and I am scared to take it again because of my test anxiety. But hang in there.....one of my friends I went to nursing school with (works in the hospital now) knows a nurse of five years who took the test six times before she passed. You WILL be an RN whether you take and pass the first time or the fifth, sixth time. Hang in there!!!!!
