So here is a little info about myself. I graduated in May 2015 with ADN degree 2 wks after graduation I took the live hurst review (3 days in total). After the hurst review I scheduled my exam for 3 wks out. A friend of mine did it this way and she passed first time with 75 questions. I studied every day all day for those 3 wks (would wake up at 8:30 am and stop about 3 am taking a few breaks of course 3-4hrs on 1 hour off). I also did practice questions via phone app throughout the day or when i was in the car. I listened to the lectures on hurst and did all 6 of the QR test I made 73,75,83,85,83,82 /125. Hurst states that if you get about 83 to 84 questions right out of 125 you have a high chance of passing nclex the first time. I would study a few days and then do a test to see where I was at. The last test I took was the night before my test.
the day of nclex i reviewed some meds and looked at a nclex cram sheet i found online. I was at the testing center at 1:30pm and started about 2pm. The computer cut off at 75 questions and I left there about 4:20 ish. I did not get any math questions but got a lot of pharm and legal ethical type questions (WHICH I DID NOT FOCUS ON WHILE STUDYING). I left feeling cheated by hurst because I was told to focus on med surg and specialty type info.
I have attempted the PVT but it does not allow me to put in the wrong cc info. I am not sure if that means i failed or not. I definitely feel like I failed. There is no way except with gods help that I could have passed not reviewing the things on my test. I am not trying to discourage you i wish someone would have mentioned these topics to me so I'm passing the info forward. I should be getting my quick result tomorrow afternoon. In the mean time i am emotionally unstable lol I'm going through all the phases of griveing and its driving my family crazy. I will update on my result tomorrow and i hope i can say i pass but seriously doubt it.
