Hey guys,
I'm so nervous. I take my boards at MAY 21st. I graduated last december though (2015). My grandmother passed away the day before my nclex so you can imagine how horrible it went from there. :'( She was like a second mother to me and still to this day I miss her.
I have a job offer so I'm really hoping I make it. I've used saunders, hurst review, uworld, and kaplans premier strategy book (which helped alot!). I feel confident but then I don't.
What are some tips on preparing 2 days before or do I need to not study? I have a good short term memory so my instinct is to keep information fresh but not too much that I overwhelm my brain and become mentally fatigued. Any help and prayers would be appreciated. I just don't know what else to do?

Sorry for your loss first off
Last two days you can use to review over labs, foods high in potassium, calcium, vitamin D. Therapeutic ranges for like digoxin, lithium, carbamazepine, nothing too complex.
good luck, think positive and never go full balony;)
EDIT: 2 days before the exam most people suggest to not review or study period, i was reviewing 1 hour leading up to my exam. Only you know whats best for you.

Sorry about your grandmothers death, just showing up the next day for NCLEX tells a lot about your dedication.
So you took your exam today, how are you feeling about it? I hope you are doing something fun tonight!
I take mine 5/24.

Sure thing SWimbish, You take yours the day after I do? Is that right?
Yes, Wednesday. I'm freaking out. The more I learn.... The less I feel like I know.
I can understand that, mine is tomorrow now and I am fighting the urge to study more.
They say to just relax the day before, but I have learned a lot of content by doing NCLEX practice questions... patho and meds that we never even talked about in school, or that I haven't seen in years of being an LPN. Especially the which order would you do things questions. I don't ever remember talking about most of those situations (other then blood transfusions and oxytocin). I have been in a bunch of them but theres usually several people there doing everything at once.... or in real life I can put O2 on a patient at the same time I am raising the head of the bed, so experience doesn't help me with those. So I want to continue to glean every little thing I can.
Maybe I should just order a pizza, get an ice cold pepsi, and binge watch Daniel Craig as James Bond.
You need to relax the day before! Please let us know how you do! I plan on doing NOTHING tomorrow related to studying. I already made a mani pedi appointment for the afternoon

Don't study any the day before. Just run errands, go eat and relax.
I took it last week after doing the 3 day Hurst Review. Did all 6 of the QTest and read the rationales for the ones that I missed. My exam cut off at 75 and I walked out of there saying "WTH" called my mom and said that was the hardest exam ever taken. I PASSED at 75 which means I was doing well and getting the hardest type of questions. Had another friend that went to 265 and passed. So just use your knowledge. If you did well in nursing school you'll be fine
