Hi! I took the board exam last June 2007. I've heard that the results will come out late August of this year. I'm just wondering if I can already apply for NCLEX. I am considering Arizona for initial licensure, which apparently requires CES. In the CES application form, a licensure information is asked. A reason is also required if you don't have any license. My question is, can I just say that I have no intention of practicing here in the Philippines or should I tell them that I am still waiting for the exam results...I can't think of any good reason...will the CGFNS check if I sat for the local board exam? Thanks.

if you took the exam you have to declare. You could always state that you are waiting for results or hold back until you get results. Yes they can check whether you took the local board and if in the US and it is found that you lied on your application you could be deported. Always better not to lie

i took nle last dec. 06 and while im waiting for the result i processed my ces and just told them that im still waiting for the result of the exam. i also e-mailed them before, that i dont know if i passed or failed and they told me inform them if i failed , if passed send them the validation from prc. With Gods Grace I passed :) Just remember they will not process your application w/o the payment of $325. God Bless

Anytime that an exam is written for licensure in any state or country, it needs to be accounted for and verified. When you apply for licensure as an RN in the US, they will verify that you took the exam, and if you passed the exam. Even if you have no desire to practice in your country, the fact it that you wrote the exam. You can go ahead with your applications now, but you will have to have the PRC verify that you passed the exam.

If you never took the exam, then nothing would be required.

how about if you fail the local exam? will it result to some sort of delays?
