HI! I'm a Registered nurse in the Philippines and needs to take NCLEX. I would like to ask if should i still take TOEFL and apply for CGFNS? thanks

Moved to Nurse Registration form in World Nursing as more appropriate forum for internationally educated nurses seeking license in another country.

Remember you are applying for license by examination. The NCLEX is one step in the licensing process. You need to review the board of nursing for Washington State's requirements for internationally educated nurses seeking license by examination. http://www.doh.wa.gov/portals/1/Documents/Pubs/669233.pdf

Just know that you'll be taking a chance with your application fees, as they are not refundable if denied for any reason and WA is one of the states enforcing the concurrency rules.

Please check out and read other thread about the 13 other States enforcing the rules.

hi steppybay. I'm confused about that concurrency issue? could you please elaborate it? is it about the subjects or the number of RLE hours? please let me know. thank you.

NCLEX REQUIREMENT IN OREGON

i would like to ask if what are the requirements for nclex in oregon? is it really a must to have a 960 hours of clinical work as a nurse? I am a nurse in the philippines last 2011 but i have no experience being a nurse. Do you think i am not qualified to take nclex in oregon? thank you.

I think this is a question you must ask the Oregon BON. If it says 960 hours they mean 960 hours...only they can clarify what that means.

It is a requirement. Better to contact OSBN for more concerns. They don't bite. ;)

hi i just want to share my experience about endorsement of my license from hawaii to washington state. I'm currently residing here in Everett, WA, last year me and my husband decided to live in hawaii but for some personal reasons we decided to stay here in WA. But back then i already had my ATT so i carry on and took my first nclex-rn exam last month and i passed it. I got my BSN degree from Philippines. Today I called the WA BON to inquire about endorsement and they ask me to take TOEFL because i never worked as an RN in any state in the US because i just recently passed the test. So meaning even i passed the NCLEX i still need to comply the foreign educated nurses requirement which is the TOEFL. So can anyone here can give any tips how can i prepare for toefl and pass it right away? thanks
