NCLEX application status (no response so far)

Published

Hello everyone! I'm starting to worry about my application to take the nclex. I've paid all the fees and did all the required paperworks. The last letter I received from the California Board of Registered Nursing was that they needed extra documents from my university. I contacted my school to send it and they even gave me a FedEx tracking number to see if it's been received. I tracked the number and saw that it was received on March 02, 2010. That was the last thing that California was asking for (according to the checklist they sent me).

And now the month's about to end and I still haven't received any response from them. Does this mean I wasn't approved or does it really take this long? I'm really worried right now.

And if it's the case of not being approved, will I be getting a notice by mail about it?

CA does not have a good track record when it comes to all individual applications. Keep track of this yourself and keep attempting to contact them to follow up. They will put your paperwork aside and then get rid of it when the time limit is up. Do not rely on them to answer your inquiries or to answer them in a timely manner.

I have been told it can take up to 4-6 weeks to get approval. Did you register with PearsonVue? Usually the notification that you can test comes from PearsonVue

This happened to me, and it was because I recorded my email address incorrectly on the application.

Just a thought!

thanks guys! and i'll take note of that, caliotter3. i guess i'll wait 2 more weeks before i do a follow up. at least i'll have extra time to brush up on my review.

jmshook: i did it all through the california board of registered nursing
