Hi,
I'm looking for some insight, a classmate is doing the Kaplan live classroom review. My question would be is the review really helpful and worth 499.00?? My next question is are there any study materials that would be beneficial that I can use to help me pass NCLEX. I failed once and I'm definitely trying to pass this next time.
Thanks!

I got Kaplan live classroom discounted through my school. I really loved it because they teach you strategies on how to answer NCLEX questions. Then they give you a e-book to study content and they have content videos that has expert nurses going over the material you studied in the e-book. Most importantly they offer many many many NCLEX style questions to practice in the qbank and q trainer. I say the money is worth it because if you do all the questions attend all classes and watch all the videos and everything else they say, I think they offer money back or a discounted rate to reregister. I passed with 75 questions thanks to them. If you want to use Kaplan, you should.

I'm using Kaplan right now and I love it! I am also using Hurst for content.
Thank you both so much, I purchased a Kaplan review book because 499 is little steep for me I also went with the Lacharity prioritizing and delegation book. I was thinking about the lipincotts q&a review too. Hopefully I get it next go round. They Kaplan book is already helping.

I got it discounted through my school also, but to me it would have been worth full price. Besides the 4 days in class, we got about 2000 questions, 7 q trainers and access to our instructor even after the class if we had concerns. The book is probably not enough, you need the ractice questions in my opinion.

Hi. I was in the same boat as you with deciding on which materials I would use after I failed my first attempt. I ended up purchasing the Kaplan nclex-rn premier book, which is great! I also am using PDA, saunders book, exam cram and I bought the ncsbn 3 week course (which was only $70 I believe and I absolutely loved it!!)
I test next week. Lots of luck your way !!
Deemariee,
I purchased the same one and I already had Saunders. I did my research on the review vs. the book and most said they teach whats in the book at the class. I'm a pretty good self studier, but the first time I'll admit that I didn't study much probably a good 3 days. So I'm buckling down this time. I'll keep you in my prayers! Best wishes.

I agree...We had a lady that was wonderful, listening to her and how she approaches a questions was a good learning tool for me.
