Yet hospital does nothing, doesn't even look into it. 10 of us sick, same symptoms for several weeks now, several now have pneumonia from it.You'd think the health nurse or management would see why so many are calling in ;0 Other then to simply scold them for calling in sick lol...
They know why people are getting sick, it's H1N1! The fact that younger, previously healthy people are readily getting pneumonia from it, is practically diagnostic in itself. I don't think many employers call people who are out sick to find out why they're not at work, because you have to call in the reason for your absence.
The CDC recommends that no one go to work or where they can expose others to the flu while having s/s of flu, to contain it. I hope for patients' and others' sakes that they call agencies to get nurses in, when so many are sick. Having been an employee health nurse, let me tell you they're so busy, there's no time to call those who are out sick. Determining what is causing that, is the role of Public Health Departments.
