23.50 per hour at the hospital been there 3 months... Long term health facility 15.00 per hour

Where are you from? I have never known of a CNA to make that much, not even working for agency.

I think the posters who said they make 21 and 23 plus dollars are referring to an RN's salary or at least an LPN, but definitely not a CNA. Carefully read the question people before you decide to post...

I agree, I have never heard of a CNA making that much money, not event working for agebcy or home health.

I work for a hospital owned by physicians. I make $12.30 hr eve shift, if I work midnight shift $14.80hr. Weekends $15.25hr. plus incentive for xtra shifts we pick up.

Maybe they live in a state where the cost of living is very high (california, new york, massachusetts,etc..). It might sound like a lot, but when the state tax/ property tax/etc is factored in, its not that much. Plus you have to factor in how many years the poster has been @ their job. One of my friends works as a tech at an area hospital, and make 19.50/hr..she's been there 7 years.

Hospital in southeastern Michigan midnight shift 12 hr shift...$12.22 with 0.50 shift premium and $1.00 for weekends. With no experience in hospital or nursing home setting just direct care but have CNA

I started off as a CNA w/o experience at a LTC in southern NV. $9.50 for the day shift, $10 for the evening and night shifts. No weekend differentials...

In my area (rural south ga) the pay scale ranges from min wage to about $12.00. I personally make $9.50 working 3rd shift. I make $10.00 on weekends. I believe 2nd and 1st shift is $8.50 an hour.

$12.00/hr in a SNF in El Cajon, California. No previous experience upon hire. I've been there for 6 months now.

$8.50hr and 10cents for 2nd shift. I live in south FL.

I left a 13.25 hr. job to come to Macon, Georgia and make alot less but, lil' did I know @ that time that I would be taking a cut in pay! I now do 7.60 hr.

$12.83/hr plus $0.25/hr shift differential. I'm in Colorado.
