Is it acceptable to work in the NICU with your masters as a Pediatric NP or is it mandatory to have your msn only in neonatal np?

Our NICU only takes NP's with neonatal . Peds can work in the clinics or nurserys.

We have a large practice that staffs our NICU. There are about 12 Neo's and I think about 20 NNP's. Our census averages 50 something. There is one PNP though, she sees the more stable; feeder/grower types. She doesn't take call because she isn't checked off on some of the higher skills. The staff really like her and she is very good at what she does. The parents also really like her and she's bilingual to boot, such a great advantage!
