Hello!
I have not seen a thread for the Fall 2021 application cycle so I thought I would start one ? I am working on my application and trying to get an appointment with ------------------------. Is anyone else planning on applying? Im wondering what the minimal points will be this time around! I wish they did something like SBCC does and posts the minimum points for the last cohort but alas they do not.

Hi!
I'm applying to Moorpark as well as a few other colleges. I just had a meeting with ----------------- this past week. It went great, but I'm frustrated because she looked at my transcripts and said that it looked like I was eligible for an associate's degree and to follow up with a counselor at my community college. I followed up with my community college and found out that I do qualify for an associate's degree, but it's not going to post until the end of Spring semester! That's 8 points I'm missing out on? I asked her about the average minimum points they normally accept, but she said it varies from semester to semester. I just hope I do really well on my TEAS exam to give me a chance to get in.

Oh man! That is a bummer but hopefully it will not be the defining factor. And dang I have not been able to get ahold of -------------------! I've sent a couple emails buts she has not replied LOL. Maybe I will call the health science office and see if they schedule it haha
In regards to the TEAS, I took it at the beginning of the month and it was so much easier than I anticipated! I found this website super helpful! https://nursehub.com/ They offer a tonnnn of questions for $50, great value! I would say focus on the science because that's the section that seems to stump people
Oops! Sorry about posting the name
That's a bummer that you have not been able to get a hold of her. I had to email her a few times and then she got back to me. Hopefully the health science office will be able to schedule it for you.
Thank you for the info the TEAS exam! I will look into that site. Best of luck to you!

I applied for Fall 2021 as well! I'm also bummed out because I am eligible for a degree, but my school didn't post my degree on my transcript in time ? It sucks missing out on those points! But I shall hope for the best!
Good luck to everyone applying!

Hi guys I can’t believe I just found this forum! I also applied to Moorpark college, this will be my first time applying to nursing programs, I’m so nervous but excited ? and I relate to you guys so much because I’m eligible for two associate degrees but I won’t be receiving them until May and I’m so upset that I won’t be getting points for that LOL glad to know I’m not alone! Anyway, does anyone know when Moorpark reaches out to applicants to take the TEAS exam? I’m not sure if I should buy it or wait and see if they’ll offer on the day I want for free ?
Yes it's so frustrating that we are missing out on those points!
I actually received an email this morning with an invitation to take the TEAS exam with Moorpark. I am so excited! I actually was going to buy it at the end of this week if I did not hear from them. So happy I don't have to pay for it now.
Good luck!

Hey all! I applied too for Fall 2021. I'm hoping for the best! I took my TEAS already, so I wonder what's the process for that. I'm applying with a score around 78.5 (including TEAS).. I'm not sure if that is competitive, but we'll see!
Good luck to all! ?
Your score of 78.5 seems very strong. Due to the fact that I can't use my associate degree for this application, I'm hoping to have a score of 73.5 after taking my TEAS. If you already took your TEAS, I believe you just have to have your score sent to them.
Good luck to you!

Good luck on your TEAS! ?
