mnemonics for pharm

Nursing Students General Students

Published

Hey fellow nursing students!! It's been a long, although great, summer awaiting the start of my first year of nursing school this fall!! I know there has probably been several posts on this before but I can't seem to find them. Can anyone give me the name of a good website for pharmachology mnemonics(sp?)? I would really appreciate it!! I'm trying to make up some study note cards before the start of what is sure to be a very busy semester.

:studyowl:

I don't know of a specific site, other than the usual mneumonics sites (and I started a thread here called Favorite Mneumonics or something like that).

I can give you a few, though :)

Remember MAO inhibitors as No Popular Meds:

Nardil

Parnate

Marplan

Remember that calcium antagonists are Very Nice Drugs:

Verapamil

Nifedipine

Diltiazem (cardizem)

These Drugs Can Interact:

Theophylline

Dilantin

Coumadin

Ilosone (erythromycin, which, frankly, is the only name I can remember!)

I'm thinking it's time to pull up that thread....
