Alert: to every nurse out there................I tested NEGATIVE on my urine drug screen...............I was terminated from my job yesterday..................they never said exactly why, but drugs are missing............I work that unit, along with several RNs......I'm an LPN.............I've witnessed an RN altering the sheets, reported it.........she is still there.........................no one reported seeing me steal anything, or reported me being impaired................."at will" at it's best...................

I'd insist on knowing why they terminated me. Or have my lawyer do it.

That's terrible. Would human resources let you know the reason, or at least steer you in the right direction?
I'm in an at will state too, and though I've never been fired, I was pushed into resigning once because "you are not a good fit with the other nurses."
I'd reported a couple of them leaving early and coming in late, and padding their mileage requests. Guess that I didn't FIT, right?

Sounds much like the place where I was just terminated!! Yep, same kinds of things, I know...........all too well..............you have to be one of their "team players"...........

Sorry for your situation. Thanks for pointing out that most nurses have NO contract and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

I am so sorry to hear you were treated so badly. Can a lawyer do anything for you? Other than that, no advice I can offer. You will be in my prayers.
