I called them right away! Ill try not to worry.

Hope you have no problems. Sounds like you handled it fine.

My state's BON gives us 6 holidays off (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day) when we don't have to call in. We also don't have to call in on Sunday. Just curious: anyone else's BON this generous?

I know that during hurricane IKE, TPAPN was understanding of nurses in the Houston area. Being that the whole city was without power for more than a week, they had to be. Most of the labs were closed, and even if you found a lab, you couldn't find gas to get there. No gas stations were open. Some of the phone lines were down for a while also. (a while meaning 9 days) .

SO,, if you ever miss again, just call AS SOON AS YOU REMEMBER! Leave a message if you have to. You never know if they will be understanding or not, you just have to be honest with them. Now if you start missing them a lot, then they will catch on I'm sure.
