Midwestern University 2020

Anyone looking to start submitting their apps in the coming months for MWU?

I got it about a week ago, i scheduled for oct 15, and today i actually got a 2nd email in regards the structure of the day of the interview.

I just spoke with someone in the admissions department and they said that interviews are scheduled later this year than usual. There are also some people that the committee has not made an official decision on. The way that it sounds is that they had more applicants than usual and are doing things a little differently this year. I'm not sure if that helps anyone who is still waiting to hear on an interview or not.

Does anybody know someone that has gotten waitlisted and what that process is? I got a response back from admissions and they informed me that my application is still under review ?

I know some people got waitlisted last year and eventually got accepted. They usually interview in sections since they are rolling admissions and accept certain people they know they forsure want then set aside, “waitlist,” others until they have went through all possible candidates. But usually you get waitlisted after an interview. That is just my experience from reading through the previous years topics.

Here it is Friday the 13th and they said my application is still under review and I have not recieved a rejection email or letter. Anyone else in the same situation this late in the game as I'm in?

Same here. I think with rolling admissions sometimes it works out this way.

I got waitlisted today. Applied in June. Anyone else been waitlisted and how does that process go? Anyone have luck following?

Mmulder I received the same email. Im not sure the process..

Same. Perhaps we should start our own thread... I tried to search this site to see if it has happened in past years but there is nothing posted on it. To a certain degree it is smart on behalf of Midwestern in case the people who committed to the program and even the waitlist back out and commit to other schools. Part of me thinks the chances of getting an interview now are slim to none but I don't want to lose hope either.

I received an email today that said they are putting my application on hold? I applied last week.

I got waitlisted as well. Doesn’t seem like many people got invitations to interview from just looking on the allnurses site. Maybe there is still hope and this is something new their doing this year because I haven’t seen where people have been waitlisted before being invited for an interview before.
