Jul 31, 201312 yr I am taking it this fall as well. I vote for enjoying your break! We don't get too many of them! I have read ahead before in the past and I don't think it really gives you that much of an edge in the grand scheme of things.

Jul 31, 201312 yr meeep is right. I LOVED microbiology (I could have majored in it) but you should relax. Seriously. It is a lot of material and labwork (assuming you have a lab) and you will be able to handle it when the time comes if you manage your time.Go to the beach or something!
Jul 31, 201312 yr One piece of info is that it's a totally different ball game than A&P. Expect to do experiments daily or every other day. It was fun and very interesting.Sent from my iPad using allnurses.com
Aug 1, 201312 yr I agree with everyone else. Enjoy your break! But micro is definitely different from A&P.
Aug 1, 201312 yr I've heard it's not as difficult/time consuming as A&P though - accurate?Different than A&P. depends on the teacher whther it is more difficult. I found the lecture much easier. But the lab was much more involved. Not hard. Just involved. And not correlated to lecture like A&P was.
Aug 1, 201312 yr Enjoy your break. I took Microbiology before A&P. I thought Microbiology was much harder than A&P, but that's just me.
Aug 1, 201312 yr micro was so much fun! start with types of cells, bacteria shapes, and DNA. You will do fine!
In the fall I plan on taking Microbiology. What topics should start to read up on?
