I am taking it this fall as well. I vote for enjoying your break! We don't get too many of them! I have read ahead before in the past and I don't think it really gives you that much of an edge in the grand scheme of things.

meeep is right. I LOVED microbiology (I could have majored in it) but you should relax. Seriously. It is a lot of material and labwork (assuming you have a lab) and you will be able to handle it when the time comes if you manage your time.
One piece of info is that it's a totally different ball game than A&P. Expect to do experiments daily or every other day. It was fun and very interesting.
I've heard it's not as difficult/time consuming as A&P though - accurate?
Different than A&P. depends on the teacher whther it is more difficult. I found the lecture much easier. But the lab was much more involved. Not hard. Just involved. And not correlated to lecture like A&P was.
